✦ ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Experience the beauty and energy of Vancouver in bloom! The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 26 to April 28 and celebrates the season with a host of community events—from fan-favourite gatherings like The Big Picnic and Blossoms After Dark, to the vibrant Sakura Days Japan Fair. ✦ ABOUT PUBLIC DISCO

Public Disco reclaims public space for music, creating inclusive environments where people can gather, connect, and celebrate. Rooted in the underground ethos that built dance music culture, we bring the energy of the club into the open, accessible, community-driven, and free from pretense.

☞ More on our mission.

✦ CODE OF CONDUCT

Public Disco is committed to creating a safer, more inclusive dance floor for everyone. Respect personal space, look out for one another, and keep our events free from discrimination, harassment, or violence. If you ever need support, our harm reduction team is on site to help.

☞ Read our full Code of Conduct here.

✦ ACCESSIBILITY INFO

This event is situated on multiple levels. Wheelchair accessibility is limited to the top level where there will be shade, viewing areas, a bar, wheelchair accessible washroom and a food vendor. The top level is accessed via our entrance on Dunsmuir near Thurlow. Please note that there is no ramp access to the dancefloor or bar. Seating options on site include lounge chairs, concrete blocks, bistro tables and wood benches.

Restrooms are located inside Bentall Centre as well as our partners House of Funk Cafe (Wheelchair Accessible). Additionally, there are areas designated for those seeking a quieter environment away from the music, providing relief for individuals who may require lower stimulation. We understand that navigating this site might pose challenges for some individuals, so please reach out to nick@publicdisco.ca for further information or assistance.

✦ LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

At Public Disco Society, we recognize that our events and gatherings primarily take place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. We honor and respect the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded these lands for generations and continue to do so today. We acknowledge that the land on which we operate, celebrate, and build community is stolen land. Our events and parties are held in public spaces that have been home to Indigenous Nations long before the arrival of settlers. As team members, it is our responsibility to tread softly on the land and respect it, always leaving the spaces we occupy better than how we found them. We encourage all members of our community to take this acknowledgment to heart, reflect on its significance, and actively engage in respectful and meaningful actions that support Indigenous sovereignty and rights.
