Public Disco and Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival Present Blossom Block Party

A Free Outdoor Celebration of Music, Dance, and Spring Blossoms in Downtown Vancouver

Vancouver, B.C. – Public Disco and the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival are teaming up to bring Blossom Block Party, a free, all-ages dance event celebrating the arrival of spring, to the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Taking place on Saturday, April 5, from 2 PM to 9 PM at Dunsmuir Patio at Bentall Centre (1055 Dunsmuir Street), the event will feature all-vinyl DJ sets, interactive art, and family-friendly activities set against the backdrop of the city’s iconic cherry blossoms.

“The Blossom Block Party is all about embracing the season together and bringing music, movement, and community into public space in a way that feels joyful and welcoming,” says Nickolas Collinet, Executive Director of Public Disco Society. “We’re excited to transform the Dunsmuir Patio into an intimate outdoor dancefloor where people can gather, connect, and celebrate the energy of spring.”

Blossom Block Party will feature all vinyl DJ sets from Dairy Free, the curator of Bleach Listening Room in Chinatown, Esette, co-founder of the Alberta Electronic Music Conference as well as Abasi, the co-founder of Intimate Productions & Bass Coast Alumni, and Souldoze, founder of DOZE HIFI, a pop up HIFI listening room concept.

The event will also include pop-up bars with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, live painting by mural artist Ciele Beau, a kids colouring station, plus food and drinks from FUNK Coffee Bar and Lee’s Donuts. Set within the Dunsmuir Patio at Bentall Centre, the space offers a mix of seating, social areas, and an intimate dance tent for a unique, open-air celebration.

Blossom Block Party is presented in collaboration with the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, presented by TD Ready Commitment, which runs from March 26 to April 28, bringing a variety of cultural events to the city during peak bloom.

“We’re excited to be bringing a brand new event to the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival this season. Thank you to our presenting sponsor, TD Ready Commitment, and partners Destination Vancouver, Stay Vancouver Hotels, Bentall Centre, Downtown Vancouver BIA, and Lululemon, for making the evening possible.” says Andrea Arnot, Executive Director of Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival.
